The enygf09 will not only be an incredible technical Congress, where the most prominent youngsters will be together. This forum will also try to show some the most representative traditions and places of Cordoba, Andalucía and Spain. Cordoba was known as the city of three cultures, where Jews, Muslims and Christians coexisted in harmony. Therefore, in this congress the cultural treasures that have been hidden throughout the two thousand years of Cordoba history will be discovered.

May 19th: Welcome reception

After registration, we will have the opportunity to discover one of the most typical and oldest Cordoba’s places, the white yards. Will enjoy a reception in one of this yard, just in front of Mesquita’s east side, in the heart of “La Juderia” (Jewish quarter)

May 20th: Visit to Mezquita and Winery Dinner

After the enygf09 first day sessions, the attendees will have the opportunity to visit “La Mezquita”, which is the most incredible place where Muslim and Christian cultures are joined. Near sunset, when sun beams create unique shadows and half-lights through the mosque arches, the attendees will have an exclusive visit, only for enygf09. The mosque is situated in the old Jewish District, “La Judería”, where in May the atmosphere is full of the scent of Azahar (orange blossoms).

And in this magnificent place, we will go on our way through Andalusian culture and we will visit an old winery, where we will enjoy Spanish guitars and taste “Fino”, an Andalusian dry white wine.

May 21st: Horses Exhibition and Almazara Dinner

The cultural trail through the Spanish and Andalucian land will continue inside the heart of the largest olive tree region in the world. After the technical visit on Thursday 21st in “El cabril”, we will have a horse exhibition near a two-thousand-year old white village “Castro del Rio”, where thousand years old olive trees are harvested.

In the same village we will visit an old olive oil mill, and we will have a mill dinner in the yard of this mill. At this dinner we well have the opportunity to enjoy one of the best kinds of olive oil in the world.

May 22nd: Farewell Dinner and Flamenco

On Friday 22nd, after several master classes given by the nuclear industry wises, we will continue our historic overview. At this moment we have already visited Arabic olive groves and an olive oil mill, also we walked through narrow Jewish streets and breathe air in this Jewish quarter. So, we have panned to finish the congress in a Christian place: The Almodóvar Castle. An incredible place which stands in a strategic position, 22km south east of Cordoba, at a height of 252 m on top of a hill.
